“I had my first acupuncture treatment while I was on vacation in China as a teenager. During the treatment, I felt “qi” move through my body for the first time - and the sensation was unlike anything I had felt before. That profound experience altered the course of my life.
Following that life-altering treatment, I was hooked on acupuncture. It took me 10+ years to begin my study of East-Asian medicine, but as soon as I did, I knew it was the right thing for me. The holistic view of the body, mind, and spirit made so much sense to me... I had never understood why parts of our bodies were looked at as separate from the others, or why medicine treated human like machines, only focusing on fixing a specific part of us at once. This East-Asian philosophy of looking at the wholeness of the human really resonated with me. ”
